We invite you, Monday, April 18, 2011, on the occasion of International Day of Monuments and Sites promoted by ICOMOS, dedicated this year to the "Cultural Heritage of the Waters", at the conference:
"Cultural Territorial Networks for the Heritage of Waters", organized by ICOMOS (International Council on Monuments and Sites) and the Association Venti di Cultura, within the framework of the European project TECCN (Territorial Cultural Networks for Citizens) of the Grundtvig Lifelong Learning Programme.
The conference aims to present and discuss activities and strategies promoted by the local institutions, in order to safeguard and promote the cultural resources deployed along the lagoon of Venice.
We would like to disregard for a moment, "the flower for the plant" (Braudel), to move the focus away from the city to the cultural resources of the lagoon.
We would like to enhance what are doing, in this direction, the stakeholders, identifying the wide network of cultural resources (such as environment, museum, productive, tangible and intangible heritage), to establish a system, and make them available to citizens and visitors.
The conference is held at the Torre di Porta Nuova of the Arsenale, at 2pm; places are limited and to participate must send confirmation to: [email protected]
, by Saturday, April 16.
Please find attached the program.
